Savas Tuning Systems, Inc. was founded in 1984 as an automotive tuning products company. The company began by manufacturing the components necessary to rebuild automotive carburetors and distributors to higher standards than available elsewhere. This led to inventory control, sourcing, cataloging and finally, in 1985, to a retail outlet in Portland, Oregon. The company expanded its customer support services into automotive engine tuning. A website went online in 2003. Shortly after, an eBay presence was introduced, followed by an eBay Store. The eBay enterprise has earned an eBay "PowerSeller" status and is engaged in expanding product lines and services.
